The Premium Homestead Coop & Run
This beautiful coop is our high-end model; designed to be a fully contained and secure home for your homestead flock with handsome roof lines in both the coop and the run.
We offer this in a few coop sizes and run sizes.
The coops are built on a 2' tall stand to make working in them easy for the homeowner. There is one main people door where you can access the nesting area, get eggs, change feed/water, and clean out the coop. All daily maintenance is done outside the run area and at a nice working hight, keeping you clean. Note: some pictures show an outdated split door system, all coops have been updated to one large people door. The base is fenced in and has a gate to access the area under the coop. This gives the hens more run space and shade under the coop. If you want the same premium look but need to save money, extra gates such as this one can be removed from the coop and run without loss of function.
- Watch this video for an overview of the features of the inside of the coop: https://youtu.be/KSTCB56xL1M
Small 4'x4' Coop - This size can house up to 6 hens. The ideal number is 4 or 5.
Large 4'x6' Coop - This size can house up to 10 hens. The ideal number is 6 to 8.
These coops feature matching roofed runs. The runs come in 2 sizes. One is shorter and you'd crouch inside when needed (which you rarely need to go in a run); the other is tall enough to walk into. The runs tie in nice and securely to the coop. They are built together for a predator proof fitting. 2"x4" welded wire and pressure treated 2x4's are use for most of the run construction. There is a gated end wall. As well, there is a gate by the coop end of the run too.
Short 4'x8x6' Run - This has 4' high walls, which is the height you'd crouch down to go into it. The peak of the roof is about 6' high. This lower design saves on materials yet is still accessible when you need to go in...rarely.
Tall 4'x8x8' Run - This has 6' high walls, which is the height you can stand up inside. The peak of the roof is about 8' high.
Optional 4’x8’x4’ Bump-out Run - you’ll see pictures of this toward the end. If you’re interested just contact us for a custom quote. You’ll see the customer eliminated some of the gates to lower the base price, then added on the bump-out to give her flock a larger area.
Local Delivery is also available for $100 and a rate of $1.75/mile from 06415.
